The Frilly Panda

Well I've started designing the new collection inspired by Two-Mix. I started listening to them again after I discovered them just over a decade ago and re-kindled my love for them. I was inspired immediately to start a collection but I had no idea where it would go or what it would include. So far the looks have been derived from what my mind sees "my girl" wearing in my head when I listen to the tracks doing whatever she's doing. Sometimes she's dancing in a club, performing on stage, wakling down a runway, running around downtown with a coffee, and I've even seen her in two of the outfits doing pulse dance flash mobs. It's pretty interesting so far and there are alot of different directions and styles within what's sketched so I'm really excited to see where it will end up when it's done. I am currently on track 26 of my 66 track collection (including the 30-something minute single mash-up they released) and I'm not going to stop designing it until the tracklist has had it's full run through. Then I will go through, match up everything into outfits, edit them all into a cohesive collection, then re-sketch them as proper fashion drawings with colors, prints, textiles, and everything else I need for it. I don't know if it will ever get made in it's entirety as it is pretty difficult to purchase and produce an entire collection when you're a stay at home mom with no discernable income with which to purchase everything needed and no time to dedicate to focus on it as much as it would need. Of course everything can be made to order as per usual so if when it's all said and done you can't live without something from it in your wardrobe you can definitely get it so no worries there.

I don't think I'll be posting pictures from it until it's all done and awesome-tastic. That being said, I said the same thing with my SS2011 collection inspired by Rurutia and I never posted the final designs. I actually still have one page of them to get all the detail info down but they will be posted I promise! Just, eventually... And I promise they will be posted BEFORE I post this new Two-Mix collection. Once again, I cannot do either of those things until I get myself a new computer. But that is also hard to do with no income and not only Christmas in a few weeks sight but also my husbands birthday, my birthday, and my sons birthday all within a month and a half after Christmas. It's a busy time of year for us.
